Try as I might I cannot justify spending $200+ (plus airfare to NYC) to see Ennio Morricone at Radio City Music Hall next month (ostensibly a birthday gift to myself) though I do find it extremely charming that the cheap seats sold out way before the ones in the orchestra section. It delights me to imagine the event being filled with punk kids who harbor secret love for old western films. Oh well, congrats on that Lifetime Achievement Oscar, dude. Le sigh!
EDIT: Next month Sony Classical will be releasing a tribute album to the Italian maestro entitled We All Love Ennio Morricone. Tracklist after the jump.
